We Are Now
We Are Now is multiple things – an ongoing video series (started 2015), a bi-weekly all female intergenerational movement group and eventually a intergenerational live performance. All elements of We Are Now celebrate intergenerational exchange and women.
The all female (with the exception of male relations) intergenerational movement group has been running since January 2016 and will continue to run until December 2016. Through the support of Leeds Beckett University it is free to participants. The group is open to dancers and non dancers and Hannah’s main aim is to create a space where women can come together, move together and have fun together. So far the group has been attended by people aged 18 months – 80 years. The group is research leading to the creation of an intergenerational live performance which Hannah hopes to begin making in 2017. Hannah is working with photographer Sara Teresa to document the group.
