ACCUMULATIONS – FILM – Untitled [Vagina].
Artists Hannah Buckley and Sarah Hill are collaborating to make a new short film and are looking for volunteers.
They want to film women and girls of a variety of ages, backgrounds and cultures reading extracts from Vagina, a book written by Naomi Wolf. Volunteers will be sent an extract of the book and asked to pick a quote they would like to read.
Filming will take place in Manchester on Saturday January 30th 2016.
Unfortunately we cannot offer a fee for being part of the film – but we can offer tea, biscuits and our deepest gratitude!
We need you mothers, sisters and daughters!
Untitled [Vagina] will be the 2nd in a series of films linked to the Accumulations project.
You can see the first film here https://vimeo.com/126582659

- to develop a deeper understanding of female activists, artists and theorists who have influenced our creative practices
- To explore the lives and experiences of ordinary women and their contribution to the cultural landscape of Manchester
- To explore the personal significance of each of our own grandmothers, mothers and sisters to our lives
- To find methods of incorporating these findings and experiences into each of our creative practices
